THE TWIZZA
HISTORY

OUR ORIGINS

Our journey began in 1980, on a dairy farm nestled in the heart of Queenstown. With just a herd of cows and a dream, our visionary founder, Ken Clark, transformed his dairy haven into a milk shop.

But it wasn’t just about milk; it was a commitment to deliver pure joy and quality to the vibrant community of the Eastern Cape. The story of our origins unfolded, where every drop of milk carried with it, the essence of a dream fulfilled.

In 2003, Ken Clark’s unstoppable entrepreneurial spirit gave life to yet another dream – a Carbonated Soft Drink brand called Twizza. The brand quickly captured the hearts of South Africans and helped Ken to achieve his goal of wanting to provide affordable refreshment to beautiful Mzansi.

Twizza soon became a fan favourite amongst consumers, with its popularity growing rapidly beyond its Eastern Cape heartland. As demand increased, Twizza expanded its manufacturing footprint from its initial facility in Queenstown to meet the needs of Twizza lovers across South Africa. In 2012, Twizza established its Middelburg facility, followed by the Cape Town facility in 2015.

Today, Twizza is made in state-of-the-art HACCP and ISO-certified manufacturing facilities in Queenstown, Middelburg, and Cape Town. Designed to meet the highest international food and safety standards, our plants are positioned to meet the growing demand for the expanded Twizza range in South Africa and neighbouring countries.
