Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. By accepting any contribution, makeover,
donation, support intervention, benefit, or assistance awarded under this initiative, the beneficiary
acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and
Conditions. Participation in or acceptance of any benefit under the initiative constitutes acceptance
of these Terms and Conditions.
1. The name of the initiative is “Faka iFlava Twizzaratti Edition” (“the initiative”) and the promoter is
Twizza (Pty) Limited (Registration Number: 2012/221184/07), a company incorporated in the
Republic of South Africa with its registered address at 1 Arkwright Street, Komani Industrial Park,
Komani, 5319 (“the promoter”).
2. The initiative is an internal community upliftment initiative administered by the promoter and is
not a public promotional competition.
3. Nominations for qualifying Non-Profit Organisations (“NPOs”), community projects, or community
upliftment beneficiaries were submitted by Twizza employees working at the promoter’s
manufacturing facilities located in Middelburg, Komani (Queenstown), and Cape Town.
4. Eligible nominations were limited to communities and organisations located within the operational
communities and surrounding areas of the promoter’s manufacturing facilities (“Twizza stronghold
areas”).
5. Employees participating in the nomination process were required to nominate community
organisations, NPOs, or upliftment projects that they believed would benefit from community
support or infrastructure improvements.
6. Following the nomination phase, all nominations were assessed and evaluated by a reasonably
representative evaluation panel consisting of members from various internal business pillars and
departments of the promoter.
7. The evaluation panel assessed nominations according to predetermined evaluation metrics and
community impact criteria determined by the promoter. The promoter reserves the right to
determine the evaluation methodology and selection criteria at its sole discretion.
8. Selected beneficiaries were determined based on the evaluation outcomes and the panel’s
assessment process. The promoter’s decision regarding selected beneficiaries is final and no
correspondence or appeals will be entered into.
9. The initiative includes community upliftment contributions and/or makeovers to selected
beneficiaries to a value determined solely by the promoter, which may include a primary makeover
initiative with a maximum potential value of up to R100 000 and/or additional support initiatives,
contributions, donations, services, materials, or related community support interventions. The
nature, extent, allocation, and actual value of any contribution shall be determined by the promoter
in its sole discretion, and nothing contained herein shall be construed as a guarantee, entitlement,
or undertaking that any beneficiary will receive contributions equal to, or totalling, R100 000 or any
specific amount.
10. Twizza reserves the right to determine the nature, scope, implementation, timing, suppliers,
materials, service providers, and final execution of any community upliftment project, makeover,
donation, or contribution associated with this initiative.
11. The promoter reserves the right to amend, substitute, scale, postpone, or reasonably adapt any
aspect of the initiative, upliftment project, or contribution where necessary due to operational
requirements, budgetary considerations, availability of materials or suppliers, safety considerations,
community requirements, force majeure events, or any circumstances beyond the promoter’s
reasonable control.
12. Any upliftment project, makeover, donation, or contribution awarded as part of this initiative
constitutes a once-off contribution and does not create any expectation, entitlement, obligation, or
guarantee of ongoing sponsorship, support, maintenance, or future contributions by the promoter.
13. The promoter may contact nominated organisations, representatives, or beneficiaries directly
for purposes relating to verification, assessment, implementation, administration, or fulfilment of the
initiative.
14. All information submitted during the nomination and evaluation process may be verified by the
promoter. The promoter reserves the right to disqualify any nomination containing false, misleading,
incomplete, or fraudulent information.
15. The promoter reserves the right to document, photograph, record, and publish any part of the
initiative, including participating communities, organisations, beneficiaries, employees, upliftment
activities, and makeover outcomes, for publicity, marketing, internal communications, public
relations, or promotional purposes in any media format.
16. Any person photographed, recorded, or featured in relation to the initiative may object to such
use by providing written notice to the promoter at marketing@twizza.co.za.
17. The promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, expense, delay, interruption, or
inconvenience suffered by any participant, nominee, beneficiary, organisation, or third party arising
directly or indirectly from participation in the initiative or implementation of any upliftment project,
except where liability may not be excluded in terms of applicable law.
18. The promoter shall not be responsible for any incorrect or incomplete nomination information,
technical failures or communication disruptions, delays caused by third-party suppliers or
contractors, or any unauthorised representations made by third parties regarding the initiative.
19. The promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, terminate, or cancel the initiative or these
Terms and Conditions at any time where deemed necessary and reasonable.
20. The initiative is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook,
Instagram, LinkedIn, X, or any other social media platform.
21. By participating in the initiative, employees, nominees, and beneficiaries consent to the
collection, processing, storage, and use of personal information by the promoter for purposes
relating to administration, verification, evaluation, communication, publicity, marketing, and
compliance obligations.
22. Personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation,
including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (“POPIA”), and the promoter’s Privacy
Policy available at: https://twizza.co.za/privacy-policy/.
23. The promoter will take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is processed
lawfully and securely, accurate and up to date where reasonably possible, and retained only for as
long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law.
24. Any questions, comments, or complaints relating to the initiative may be directed to the
promoter at marketing@twizza.co.za during office hours (08h00 – 17h00, Monday to Friday,
excluding public holidays).
