Terms and Conditions: “Ziwaphi? with Twizza” Promotion

Participation in this Promotion constitutes your agreement to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not participate. These Terms and Conditions apply to all participants in the “Ziwaphi? with Twizza” Promotion taking place on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok.

  1. Promoter

Twizza (Pty) Ltd (Reg. No. 2012/221184/07), 1 Arkwright Street, Komani Industrial Park, Komani, 5319 (“the Promoter”).

  1. Promotion Period

The prize window runs for 10 consecutive weeks, starting 29 October 2025 and ending 04 January 2026 (both dates inclusive).
Weekly winners will be announced on Twizza’s WhatsApp line and on the Twizza website (www.twizza.co.za).

  1. Eligibility

Open to South African citizens and legal residents (resident in South Africa at time of entry and prize fulfilment) who are:

  • 18 years or older, and
  • In possession of a valid SA ID or, for residents, a passport with valid residency permits.

Exclusions:

  • Employees, directors, agents or consultants of the Promoter, its subsidiaries, business partners, advertising/promotion agencies, and their immediate families may not enter.
  • Anyone who has won a Twizza competition in the preceding 3 months, or who resides at the same address as such a winner, may not enter.
  1. How to Enter

Entrants must, during the Promotion Period:

  1. Register via the official Twizza WhatsApp platform (WhatsApp number: 071 408 4305) and provide opt-in consent, full name, region, and date of birth.
  2. Upload a photo of themselves with a Twizza product via WhatsApp.
  • Entry limits: Max 2 entries per day, 8 per week and a total of 25 entries for the campaign. Excluding bonus entries.
  • Bonus entries: Share your unique Twizza WhatsApp link; each friend who registers via that link earns +1 bonus entryNo cap on bonus entries.

No purchase necessary: You may also enter without purchase by submitting a WhatsApp message with your details (name, region, date of birth) and the words “Ziwaphi? No-Purchase Entry” to the same WhatsApp number. No-purchase entries count as standard entries and are subject to the same daily/total limits.

  1. Prizes & Winner Selection
  • Total cash prize pool: R275,000.
  • Weekly prize allocation (each winner receives R5,000):
    • Week 1: 1 winner
    • Week 2: 2 winners
    • Week 3: 3 winners
    • Week 4: 4 winners
    • Week 5: 5 winners
    • Week 6: 6 winners
    • Week 7: 7 winners
    • Week 8: 8 winners
    • Week 9: 9 winners
    • Week 10: 10 winners

Draws: Weekly randomised and audited draws will take place under the supervision of the Promoter or its appointed agent. An independent accountant, registered auditor, attorney or advocate will oversee and certify the competition process. Winners are contacted via WhatsApp using the registered number and announced weekly.  

  1. Prize Redemption (Standard Bank Instant Money / ATM Cash Withdrawal)
  • Prizes are paid via Standard Bank Instant Money ATM cash withdrawal.
  • Winners will receive step-by-step instructions.
  • Important: It is the winner’s responsibility to provide the correct mobile number for payment. If an incorrect number is supplied and the payment is sent to that number, the prize will be forfeited.
  • Redemption steps (illustrative):
    1. Dial *120*906# from the same cellphone number used to register on WhatsApp.
    2. You will receive an SMS with a withdrawal reference number from Standard Bank.
    3. Use the PIN and reference number to withdraw the cash at any Standard Bank ATM.
  • Winners must claim within 3 months of notification, failing which the prize is forfeited unless otherwise required by law.
  • Standard Bank Instant Money terms apply.  
  1. General Conditions
  • All entries are subject to internal verification/audit.
  • The Promoter may disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Terms or that is fraudulent, misleading or incomplete.
  • All entries become the property of the Promoter and may be used at its discretion, subject to POPIA and Section 8 below.
  • The Promoter is not liable for technical/network failures or other issues preventing entry. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend or terminate the Promotion at any time for reasons beyond its control (e.g., fraud, technical failure, regulatory requirement), on notice where reasonably practicable.
  1. Publicity & Privacy (POPIA)
  • By entering, participants consent to the use of their name, image, and entry for publicity related to this Promotion without additional compensation, unless they object in writing to the Promoter.
  • Personal information is processed only for purposes related to this competition, on a lawful basis (consent/legitimate interests/other grounds in POPIA Section 11), and in accordance with Twizza’s Privacy Policy (https://twizza.co.za/privacy-policy/).
  • Data is stored securely and retained for no longer than 3 years, after which it is deleted or de-identified unless a longer period is required by law or for audit purposes.

  1. WASPA & Platform Compliance
  • The WhatsApp entry mechanic and any SMS/USSD interactions will comply with applicable WASPA Code of Conduct (including clear opt-in, disclosures and stop/help information where required). waspa.org.za
  • Where the Promotion is communicated on Facebook/Instagram/TikTok/WhatsApp, participants acknowledge that Meta/TikTok do not sponsor, endorse or administer the Promotion and are released of any liability. You are providing your information to the Promoter, not to Meta/TikTok. The Promoter is responsible for lawful operation, official rules, and compliance with platform guidelines.  
  1. Liability
  • The Promoter, its affiliates and employees accept no responsibility for loss, damage or injury arising from participation or prize use, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
  • Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and not refundable. No fees are payable by winners to receive prizes.
  1. Disputes
  • Subject to rights under the Consumer Protection Act, the Promoter’s decision is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • The Promoter will retain the independent oversight certificate/report for audit purposes and provide confirmation of compliance on reasonable request. Acts Online
